Frequently asked questions

A few of the things people often ask us, answered with care. Can't find what you're looking for? We would love to hear from you.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Take your time — there is no such thing as a small question here.

Who do you support?

We support children, young people, adults and families across a wide range of allied health, therapy and community services. Everyone is welcome at Bloom.

Do I need a referral to access your services?

Not always. Some services and funding types require a referral, while others you can access directly. If you are unsure, get in touch and we will help you work out the best path forward.

What funding options do you accept?

We aim to make support accessible. Details of the funding and payment options we accept will be confirmed closer to launch — please contact us for the latest information.

What does “neuroaffirming” mean?

A neuroaffirming approach respects and celebrates neurological differences rather than trying to make people fit a single mould. We focus on each person’s strengths, comfort and goals.

What happens at a first appointment?

Your first appointment is a relaxed conversation to understand your goals, answer your questions and plan supportive next steps together. There is no pressure — we move at your pace.

How do I make a referral?

Referrers can use our Referral page to start the process. We keep things simple and will be in touch to support the individual and family in your care.

Still have questions?

We are happy to talk things through, no question too big or small. Reach out and a friendly member of our team will get back to you.

Ready to begin?

Whether for yourself or someone in your care, we will guide you every step of the way.
